BTW, it was a Mexican archaeologist who first let the Comalcalco cat out of the bag, without crediting Boot. I explained the circumstance to Boot, which he accepted (and mentioned in his response). Comparing Zender's response with Boot's, I think it's safe to say that a thumbs-down position on it being a 2012 reference is not definitively proven.
